Pang Zheng Rong
Deputy Head of Group Technology
Zheng Rong spent over 10 years in technology solutioning and software development, largely focusing on web and mobile applications. As an advocate of technology as an enabler, he believes in carefully adopting relevant technology to meet business needs and build solutions that benefit our clients.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Electronics, majoring in Computer. He has recently completed an Executive MBA program with the Quantic School of Business & Technology.
When not dealing with technology, he has a passion for photography and enjoys spending quality bonding time with his son and daughter.
Which foreign language would you wish to master now and why?
Japanese. My family and I love traveling to Japan and would like to explore the countryside. However, language can be a barrier. It would be nice if we could communicate with the locals and learn about their vibrant cultural heritage.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Fried rice – any kind with chilies, either sambal or pickled chilies.
What makes you laugh the most?
Having random conversations with my children never fails to make me laugh. Sometimes, through them, I learn to discover and look at things from different perspectives.
What is one superpower you wish you could have and why?
Having the ability to process new information and learn new skills quickly is crucial. Keeping up with emerging technologies is essential for businesses to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape. This superpower allows me to stay ahead of others and remain competitive.

The moment when my son and daughter went on stage to receive awards recognising their areas of excellence.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Start young with financial planning and stick with financial solutions that revolve around life goals.
