Evelyn Goh, CFP®, ACTS, CEPA
Deputy CEO & Chief Advisory Officer
Evelyn entered the financial industry as a fresh graduate in 1995, and has experienced the full commissions as well as the fee-based model of providing advice. With a strong personal value of seeking to do what is right, she joined Providend in 2001 as one of the founding members to provide unbiased advice despite the obvious challenge of pure fees, no commissions model being uncharted waters in Singapore. The past 19 years has been a very fulfilling career for Evelyn where she has progressed from advising middle-aged professionals to clients in their retiring phase and now working with the second generation to ensure the smooth transfer of wealth, and more importantly, the legacy retained. She finds great satisfaction and fulfilment in helping clients sort out their financial affairs and gaining clarity over their goals, thus empowering them to live out their purpose and what truly give meaning and joy in life.
Being the Deputy CEO, Evelyn is part of the Senior Management team responsible for the strategic growth and development of the company. As Chief Advisory Officer, Evelyn works with her team to ensure high advisory standards as well as develop thought leadership and tools that will bring even greater value to our family of clients. Evelyn counts it her blessing to be part of a very passionate and competent team at Providend and having benefited from great mentors, now seek to pay it forward to groom the younger leaders in the firm.
Evelyn is a Certified Financial Planner and is one of the authors of the Singapore Master Financial Planning guide. She is a recipient of a bond-free scholarship from the then Stock Exchange of Singapore, which aid her in completing her Bachelor of Business degree with honours from Nanyang Technological University (NTU). In June 2020, Evelyn has also obtained the Advanced Certificate in Trust Services (ACTS) from Wealth Management Institute, NTU.
Despite her hectic work schedule balancing both advisory and management duties, Evelyn never loses sight of the importance of spending quality time with her family. At home, she focuses on being emotionally present and available for her loved ones even in the busiest of times.
