Episode 23: Will the Real Trustee Please Stand Up?

Christopher Tan

“I have been told by many that most trustees will never take any risks during their term in office. The belief is that if they make a good investment decision, no one will thank them, but if they make a wrong one and lose money, everyone will blame them.”

In this episode, I will explain the responsibilities of a trustee and why it is so important for a trustee to understand the beneficial organisation’s investment options to make a better decision.

Important note: As much as trustees should do their utmost, we should also give them our full support, by not being too quick to point fingers and judge when things don’t turn out the way they should.
